|Alex Sanabia reacts to the Marlins 4-run 9th inning on Sunday.|
The good news is that the Marlins didn't get swept by the Cincinnati Reds. The bad news is that it was a four game series, so they still managed to lose three times, scoring all of 7 runs in the first 35 innings of the series. After that, they managed to scrape together a 4-run 9th inning on Sunday, but those don't tend to mean much when you're down by 82(3x + 10).
As for GIANCARLOCRUZMICHAELstanton, he sulked his way to 4 hits, 8 Ks... and his first RBI of the season! On April 21. Nineteen games in. Fuck my face.
The other good news is that I watched none of this, because I'm not a sucker.
The Marlins head to Minnesota tonight for a two-game series against the Twins, in which the American League will finally get to experience this unbelievable amount of suck. You, on the other hand, have the option to avoid it. Monday's suck as it is. No need to compound that by adding a Marlins game to your night.
Is this season over yet?
