THE MARLINS FIRST BASE SITUATION IS QUITE LITERALLY A COMEDY SKETCH

If you'd like to play first base for the Marlins, now might be your chance. With Casey Kotchman on the 15-day DL and Logan Morrison still out with a swollen vagina, the team might be forced to use a super platoon of Austin Kearns and Must Love Dobbs, which really isn't much worse than any of the original options, I suppose.
Redmond said Chris Valaika and even backup catcher Miguel Olivo could man the position if necessary, too.

So, we got that going for us, which is nice.

Either way, if you've ever played baseball in your life, maybe just softball, maybe even just a half-season of tee ball, or maybe you're just capable of standing in the batter's box and striking out on four pitches, now might be a good time to dust off the ol' resume and contact the organization. I'm pretty sure that's how Austin Kearns made the team in the first place.
